Guitar UP is a retro/modern surf band from Kalamazoo, MI made up of Shawn Gavan (guitar), Jay Gavan (guitar), Mark Duval (bass), and Bryan Heany (drums).  We play instrumentals that echo the sounds of the beach, the spy thriller and the spaghetti western.  Combining original tunes and arrangements of choice classics, Guitar UP creates a feel good vibe while taking some surprising sonic turns.  We play mostly around West Michigan (at least in pre-COVID-times), and are looking forward to getting back out there for the car shows, the luaus, and the rock shows.   We have two collections of tunes that you can buy, an EP called Liquid Sunshine (2017) and a full length album called Western Pacific (2019).  They are available for you to enjoy at high volume!
